RN-Led Lymphatic Massage for Medical Conditions & Complex Recovery
When your health situation requires more than a spa-level approach, Rosita's dual training as a registered nurse and certified lymphatic therapist provides the clinical judgment to adapt treatment to your diagnosis, medications, and surgical complexity — safely.
When Complexity Requires Clinical Judgment
Standard lymphatic massage is appropriate for wellness. Medical-context and complex post-surgical cases are a different discipline — one that requires reading labs, knowing contraindications, and recognizing when to stop.
Rosita's 25+ years as a registered nurse means she approaches every medical-context session the way a clinician would — reviewing your diagnosis, current medications, surgical notes, and healing stage before designing the treatment protocol. Under the medical direction of Dr. Mrudangi Thakur, she can identify early warning signs — seroma formation, infection, DVT risk — that fall outside the scope of any non-medical practitioner.
For multi-area post-surgical clients, she sequences the drainage across sites based on healing stage, lymph node involvement, and surgical complexity — not a one-size routine. This is the standard your recovery deserves.
Two Specialized Session Types
Both sessions are performed by Rosaura Loaiza, RN, MLT, under physician medical direction. Session type and length are matched to your specific clinical situation.
Lymphatic Massage for Medical Conditions
For clients managing ongoing health conditions with a lymphatic component — including lymphedema, lipedema, autoimmune-related swelling, post-oncology lymphatic disruption, and chronic venous conditions. Rosita reviews your clinical profile before every session and adapts the protocol accordingly.
- Full medical history and medication review
- Technique adapted to diagnosis and condition stage
- Ongoing monitoring for contraindications
- Coordination with treating physician available
Post-Surgical Lymphatic — Multiple Areas
Designed for clients recovering from procedures that affect multiple body regions simultaneously — such as combined abdominoplasty and breast augmentation, full-body liposuction across multiple zones, or staged procedures at different healing phases. Extended session time ensures thorough drainage at every surgical site.
- Drainage sequenced by healing stage per area
- Full coverage of all surgical sites in one session
- RN-level complication monitoring throughout
- Physician-supervised protocol
What to Expect
Clinical Intake
Rosita conducts a thorough intake before your first session — reviewing your diagnosis, surgical records, current medications, and any physician notes. She identifies contraindications, flags areas of caution, and documents a baseline clinical picture. Please bring a complete medication list and any relevant surgical or treatment records.
Protocol Design
Based on your intake, Rosita designs a session sequence specific to your condition or surgical complexity. For multi-area post-surgical clients, she maps the drainage order based on each site's healing stage, lymph node proximity, and swelling pattern — not a generic protocol.
Precise, Monitored Treatment
Throughout the session, Rosita monitors for signs of complication — changes in skin temperature, unusual hardness, color changes at surgical sites, or client-reported symptoms that may indicate seroma, DVT, or infection. Treatment can be paused, modified, or referred appropriately at any point.
Ongoing Care Plan
After each session, Rosita documents your response and refines the treatment plan. For ongoing medical conditions, she will communicate with your treating physician on request. She'll advise on session frequency, home care, compression use, and signs to watch for between visits.
