Why RN Credentials Matter Here

When Complexity Requires Clinical Judgment

Standard lymphatic massage is appropriate for wellness. Medical-context and complex post-surgical cases are a different discipline — one that requires reading labs, knowing contraindications, and recognizing when to stop.

Rosita's 25+ years as a registered nurse means she approaches every medical-context session the way a clinician would — reviewing your diagnosis, current medications, surgical notes, and healing stage before designing the treatment protocol. Under the medical direction of Dr. Mrudangi Thakur, she can identify early warning signs — seroma formation, infection, DVT risk — that fall outside the scope of any non-medical practitioner.

For multi-area post-surgical clients, she sequences the drainage across sites based on healing stage, lymph node involvement, and surgical complexity — not a one-size routine. This is the standard your recovery deserves.

What to Expect

01

Clinical Intake

Rosita conducts a thorough intake before your first session — reviewing your diagnosis, surgical records, current medications, and any physician notes. She identifies contraindications, flags areas of caution, and documents a baseline clinical picture. Please bring a complete medication list and any relevant surgical or treatment records.

02

Protocol Design

Based on your intake, Rosita designs a session sequence specific to your condition or surgical complexity. For multi-area post-surgical clients, she maps the drainage order based on each site's healing stage, lymph node proximity, and swelling pattern — not a generic protocol.

03

Precise, Monitored Treatment

Throughout the session, Rosita monitors for signs of complication — changes in skin temperature, unusual hardness, color changes at surgical sites, or client-reported symptoms that may indicate seroma, DVT, or infection. Treatment can be paused, modified, or referred appropriately at any point.

04

Ongoing Care Plan

After each session, Rosita documents your response and refines the treatment plan. For ongoing medical conditions, she will communicate with your treating physician on request. She'll advise on session frequency, home care, compression use, and signs to watch for between visits.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Medical-context lymphatic massage requires clinical judgment that goes beyond technique. An RN can review your medical history, assess current medications, identify contraindications, recognize early signs of complications like seroma, DVT, or infection, and adapt the protocol in real time. Rosita brings 25+ years of lymphatic specialty experience and works under the medical direction of Dr. Mrudangi Thakur.
Lymphatic drainage can support recovery and symptom management in conditions involving fluid dysregulation, including lymphedema, lipedema, chronic venous insufficiency, autoimmune-related swelling, and post-oncology lymphatic disruption. It is also beneficial alongside treatment for recurrent infections, chronic fatigue, and other conditions with inflammatory components. Rosita reviews your specific case before every session.
The 90-minute multi-area session is designed for clients who have had procedures affecting multiple body regions simultaneously — for example, abdominoplasty with breast augmentation, or combined liposuction of multiple zones. The extended session time allows Rosita to thoroughly address each surgical site without rushing, and to manage the sequencing of drainage across areas that may be at different stages of healing.
A referral is not required to book a session. However, for medical condition cases, we strongly recommend having your treating physician's awareness or approval. We ask that you bring a list of current medications and relevant diagnoses to your first appointment. Rosita will review this information before beginning treatment.
The Medical Condition session (75 min) is $165. The Post-Surgical Multiple Areas session (90 min) is $185. Package pricing may be available for ongoing treatment plans. Call or text (914) 639-2429 for details on multi-session rates and current promotions.
